Cheryl was walking around in the mall holding a pink wallet tight in her hands. She saw a large orange sign that read "Foot Locker Clearance! Everything half price! Get in now before it's too late!". She couldn't take her eyes off it so she walked in and started looking through the endless amounts of ranks filled with shoes of all sorts.
She walked around for a while before she turned and found a pair of black, strapy shoes with very high heels. There was two fake dimond love hearts hanging from the strap that holds the ankle to the shoe. It was love at first sight. She didin't even bother to look at the price tag she quikcly shuved her old joggers off and slipped the shiny shoes on. It was a perfect fit so she put them both back in the box and ran to the checkout.
"Hi, these shoes please," she said out of breath from her dash to the desk.
"Sure," the person at the checkout, "That 'id be twenty-seven dollars and ninty cents."
Cheryl opened up her wallet. She didin't have any credit cards, so she opened up the pouch for the notes. She pulled out a ten dollar and a five dollar. She opened the coin pouch. There was seven dollars and fifty-five cent.
"Twenty-two dollars and fifty-five cents..." she said quietly to herself, but the person at the checkout heard her.
"Thats not enough, sorry. Is that all you've got?"
But Cheryl had already left. She sat down on a chair that was there for trying out shoes and started digging herself into self pitty.
