Character's Name:Richard William Michaels (Richie)
Age:16
Grade:Sophomore
Height:6"2
Weight:167
Hair color:Blonde
Eye color:Brown
Family Members:
Dad: Edward George Michaels
Mom: Passed Away- Bethaney June Michaels
Personality:
Richie's overall personality is soft, and often shy. He'll talk to people, of course, but he opens up slowly. And if he can find someone who he instantly clicks with, the friendship is often completely loyal. His quiet voice is often smooth and delicate, most girls fall for it. But he doesn't enjoy having someone swooning over him. He'd rather have a girl come to him first as a friend. That is, unless he falls head over heels with them. He'll laugh occasionally, but it's often quiet, and short.
Richie often dislikes the way his skin is colored, but he refuses to tan. Fearing the whole skin-cancer disease. He'd rather not take that risk. Although others tell him is skin is just fine.
He also points out the fact that he's very soft-spoken. Richie rarely ever yells at anyone, it makes him a huge push-over. It's something he wants to fix, but doesn't have the heart to try.
The positive side of Richie's personality is generous, kind, and often a little too caring. He believes in protecting people, and if a friend (especially a girl) is about to get into a fight, he'll defend them with his own body. He doesn't believe in hitting a woman, and never will. He pampers his girlfriends, and often takes them everywhere they want to go. His ability to give is one of the best he has. He'll spend time at charity centers sometimes, just giving away old clothing. Another positive thing about Richie’s personality is the fact that he's always the one willing to help, and listen, and take a little bit of weight off someone’s shoulders. If someone has a problem, he hates seeing someone suffer. He might not necessarily know a person, but if they look a little troubled, he's right there.
Richie’s negative personality is often withdrawed, self-pitying, and almost completely mute. He tends to keep his own problems to himself, and refuses to share them with people, for her fear vulnerability. He hates crying, and he refuses to let himself cry, even when it's practically over-taking him. He believes that smiling is the best way to get out of a black cloud, but sometimes the pressure is too much, and he'll wander off to his dorm for some time alone. In the negative side of a relationship, Richie can get jealous, and worrisome of a girl wandering off with another boy. It's just the fact that he's been with too many girlfriends that have been unfaithful, and to protect himself from being hurt he worries. And when someone will come home, he'll ask gentle (not forced) questions about the night out, and how it went along. He expects the truth, and if he doesn't get it, the lies often crumble the relationship into nothing. Richie would rather give up than be lied to.
Appearance:
Richie's body is one of the things he doesn't like showing off, even though it's rather nice. He's a blushing boy, with a toned tummy and great biceps. Standing at 6'2, Richie usually has a bad a bad posture. His back curving outward as he leans into the air. He almost instantly straightens up when a girl he likes comes around. It's one of the trademark things that happens when he likes someone. Richie rarely ever finds the need to clean up his posture. A mellow nature keeps his body just as mellow. Richie has long, powerful legs, mostly because he loves to run. His stamina is amazing, and so Richie’s legs are overall toned, and well shaped. His abdomen is probably what girls like about him the most, but he rarely shows off the ripples there. His abs are clearly visible, but not too big. He'd hate to be Mr. Macho.
Richie has the typical boyish gaze, a cocky grin, and a great height. He's not necessarily Mr. 'Tall, Dark, And Handsome' because; Richie really isn't all that dark. His skin is pale, but he's just as healthy as everyone else. He often has a boyish smile on his face, and that what most people enjoy about him. His blonde hair lays like a mop on his head.
Richie’s basic style is very weird. He wears tight (but not too tight) fitting shirts that accent his figure. And wears jeans that hang low on his waist, occasionally allowing a peek of his boxers to come out. He usually buys his clothing off of the internet, seeing as he doesn't like many of the things local stores have, so he can be seen surfing eBay on his laptop late at night in his dorm. Richie always carries an IPod mini with him; the player has such a wide diversity of music genres inside of it that one might consider actually trying it themselves. He'll listen to anything from Hip Hop to Grind core music. Classical to Pop. You get the picture. He listens to everything.
History:
Edward Michaels headed towards California in the Spring of 1986, he was moving for business. As a vice-president of a large manufacturing company, he had to move where the money was. He was 28 at the time. The money was fruitful there, and he quickly became a very rich man, saving up for an early retirement. A promotion was on its way, and soon he might be president of one of the greatest manufacturing plants in California.
Well, one Saturday even in the winter of 1988, Howard was crossing a street in San Francisco. A car was running a red light at the time, and Howard was sent straight to the ICU. When he awoke, a beautiful young woman was looking him over, with blue eyes as electric as Edward’s nerves when he saw her. The lady's name was Bethaney Brookes, and she was a nurse working in the hospital.
Once Edward had been released from the hospital, he invited the beautiful woman out on a date. The two became instantly intertwined in a relationship that was as strong as ever. The two were happily married on September 8th, 1989. They settled down in a home outside of the big city, and Beth never had to work again a day in her life. Seeing as Edward made enough money to support the both of them, plus some.
And on April 16th, 1990, Richard William Michaels was born in a local hospital near San Francisco. His blue eyes matched that of his mothers, and the two were tragically in love with their baby boy. He was brought home a few weeks later, as healthy as any baby could be. His mother was stay-at-home. So the two bonded incredibly well.
But as soon as Richie reached the age of thirteen, his father had taken his early retirement. And his hard working ambition put so much pressure on Richie that the boy actually ran away, and disappeared for two days. He was found at a homeless shelter nearby. His father was furious; his mother so death fully worried that she was in bed at home, having a nervous breakdown. Richie’s father didn't know what to do, but when he got home all he could do was beat the boy until he bled, and when Bethaney came down to see her husband beating the boy? She protected him of course, and was sent to the hospital along with her son. She passed away two nights later do to hemorrhaging to the backside of her cerebral folds.
And so Richie came home to his father, with less than a busted lip and a few bruised ribs. He had claimed that he and his mother both fell down the stairs after he tripped, and she did as well. They had steep steps he'd stated. Colton wanted to stay with his father, someone he knew. Even though the man scared the living daylights out of him.
