Colin's parents cared a lot about his grades. They cared about everything. He was in prison like his siblings would say. "Yes, you do," he replied. But you know he really did love his parents. Without them he wouldn't be who he is. Colin thinks he is a very good person.
Colin started to think about Maddie's parents. This was a sudden thing but he liked her. He had to admit that. "I would love to meet your parents," he said smiling at her. He really did want to meet them but he was worried what they would think of him. Would it be like the movie Meet the Parents? He hoped not.

Madison always thought that she had it hard, because she was always compared to her sister, the smart, popular, and athletic one. She was popular, but not smart and she couldn't stand any type of sports, cheer leading isn't, and she wouldn't argue for it. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't do very good, so she didn't try, and said that she did. Her parents didn't push her, it was her, they knew she would be different, and so would the siblings younger than her, and once she figured that out, she started slacking. "Yep, unless they are evil." She said with a smile.
She listened to his question, and she didn't think that it would be a good idea for him to meet her parents tonight. It took her ten minutes to convince them to let her go to the zoo, and she kept arguing to let them let her stay out later, this was how far she had gotten, 9:30, They weren't very happy with her, and if she brought home some guy, she would be shot. "I don't think today would be a great time to meet them, but maybe in a bit, they are kind of grouchy today." She said, with a frown on her face.

Colin understood everything that Maddie was going through and he understoofd that she didn't want him metting her parents yet. " I understand, but you are so lucky to have both parents loving each other. Mine divorced recently and my stepmom is a nightmare!" Colin's dad had cheated no his mom and marriedan awful woman and her terrible little son. Colin had learned to live with the pain of having them around and he never trusts his dad about anything since the divorce.
Maddie was an easy person who flowed slower than other girls. He found that impressive. She was a girl he had never seen before someone more unique than anyone. "Can my mum give you a ride home?" Colin asked. She probably didn't but Colin is very thoughful of other people.

Maddy looked above her, finally remembering where she was. The sharks swam around her. She wasn't a real fan of sharks, which is why she never went swimming on the beach alone. She listened to his story, and frowned again. "I'm sorry." Her parents always told her, compared to some kids, she had a great life. She did have both of her parents.
She listened to what he had to say next. A ride home would be helpful, otherwise she would have to walk. But, if she did get a ride, she would have to explain to them, why she got a ride home. She didn't really care now. "Sure, that would be be great." She said with a big smile. She put her hands onto her lap, and folded them.

He was still dreaming of her smile. Her voice soft, and her appearance neat and tidy. She was great. But they had only known each other for a few moments. He was glad to have a new friend before school started. Awesome. Before Ranton, at his old town Colin was loved by many and was quite a popular "jock". He played football and was captain. All that would change now at a new school. He wish that wouldn't be true. But then he wouldn't have met Maddy.
"Thanks for caring, noone really ever listens to me like you are." He was actually really happy that she was paying close attention to him.
"Okay she should be here in a few minutes." Colin got up and put his hand out for her.
